Pressure indicating sensor film can reveal pressure distribution and magnitude between any two contacting or impacting surfaces. This thin plastic sensor film-like material is placed between your contact surfaces and instantaneously and permanently captures and records the pressure distribution by changing color. Similar in concept to Litmus paper, the color change is also directly proportional to the amount of force applied and can be quantified.

Common applications include measuring surface pressure distribution in bolted joint interfaces, composite layups, heat sealers and lamination presses; it can act as a force sensing resistor, as an impact force sensor, seat pressure sensor, as a strain gauge or even as nip impression paper.

If you would like to receive a sample of pressure indicating sensor film, simply click on one of the buttons below to indicate the pressure range most suitable to your application. Please be sure to include your complete contact info including a full mailing address and a very brief description of your application. One sample per person only.
