[mba] October MHBA meeting - 10/15 at Black Forest from noon-3 pm

Hey everyone, Sorry for the late notice. The October MHBA meeting will be held at the Black Forest Inn on Saturday, October 15th from noon-3pm. 1 East 26th Street Minneapolis, MN 55404 It is on the corner of 26th and Nicollet Avenue. (There is parking available in their lot on Nicollet.)http://www.blackforestinnmpls.com/ They have excellent food and beer and have always been very nice to us. In fact, the manager said to make sure to have people bring some home brewed beers. :) If you would like to do a presentation on a brewing topic, please let me know. Although too late to select at the meeting, since they are due on October 15th, the next AHA Club Only is Category 23 - Specialty/Experimental/Historic Beers. If anyone has something they would like to enter, let me know. (Any Byggvir entries?) I am going to get club member score sheets (and hopefully prizes/medals!) from Eric Wentling from this past weekend's Byggvir's contest at the Renaissance Festival. If you are not a usual meeting attendee, send me an email, so I can get your stuff for you to hand out at the meeting. Also, put on your calenders: the November MHBA meeting is Learn to Home Brew on Saturday, November 5th at Barley John's from 10 am to 3 pm. This is an excellent meeting to bring your friends that want to learn more about the art and science of brewing. There will be demos (let me know if you would like to do an extract demo), drawings for prizes for the newbies, and special this event, Barley John's will be offering a brunch (more details coming soon, but it should be yummy).
