WINTER !!! It's here!
Whether
you like it or not the Weather is about to turn against us,
mocking our human fragility. Daring us to go out side, away
from all our cozy warm technology. You know the ONLY thing
that gets me outside when it's cold enough to shatter fruit is
good beer.
In particular WINTER beer!
Assuming
you didn't spend all your beer budget at Surly's "D day"
today, below is a short list of Winter newcomers to the
Firkins.

That's right,
I have made a little page on facebook for the store. It has
lots of photos from various events as well as some pics from
all the way back in May when we were doing the buildout. If

Schell Brewing - Snowstorm A
German Style Weihnachtsbier
A German
style what??? The boys and girls at Schell Brewing
have been exploring thier German heritage and come up with
something very interesting. They describe it as a reddish
brown bock with a complex maltiness, hints of spicy rye, sourdough and chocolate. It's brewed with
nine different malts including loads of Munich and a touch of Rye.

Pyramid Snow Cap
A rich,
full-bodied winter warmer crafted in the British tradition of
holiday beers. This deep mahogany colored brew balances fruit
flavors with a refreshingly smooth texture, making Snow Cap a
highly drinkable and desirable cold weather companion. 7%
ABV

Summit Winter Ale
This is a
personal favourite of mine, based on the
old English style it's sweet and malty with just a hint of
spices.

Full Sail - 21
Dopplebock
Brewed to celebrate our 21st Birthday, "21" is a deep
amber colored lager brewed in the Doppelbock style. Its ample
malt body complements the generous alcohol presence with just
a hint of Noble hop character. 8%
ABV.
