The Four Firkins Newsletter
More beer and more events!
July 13th 2008
Fellow craft beer drinkers,

This is the very first Four Firkins Newsletter! It's taken me a while to get around to this as things here at the Firkins are busier everyday. It's a great problem to have!

Thank you to everyone who has signed up to be on the mailing list, we continue to get new Craft Beer Drinkers on board every minute. It's great to see you are as excited about this little beer store as I am.

Sincerely,

Jason Alvey

New Beer on its way!
Monk, Goat and new Beer!
Every week new beer arrives down at the Firkins. Whether it's limited batch releases or simply crazy hard to find Belgian beer I am always harassing my distributors for new and different brews. Check out the website at:

The Four Firkins

Click on the "New Beer and Events" page to read about some of the latest arrivals.
Upcoming Events.

July 22nd, Tuesday : Unibroue Tasting.
Mark from Unibroue will be at the Firkins at 6:00pm that evening to take us through some of these amazing beers from Quebec. He will also be bringing some very special beers from his own cellar as well as some that never made it to the U.S. Please be sure to be here at 6:00pm sharp if you intend to come along, the tasting will be held in a class format.

July 30th, Wednesday:
Bells Tasting.

Jason from Bells will be here to hand out samples and tell us all just why this stuff is so bloody good! Starts at 6:00pm, no set format, come when you please!
Beer Evangelist Classes

Josh imparting his knowledge

The first Beer Evangelist class was a huge success! The Firkins was packed with eager participants and I'm sure everyone who was there will agree Josh Pepper is a great instructor. His enthusiasm for the subject and his ability spread that passion is second to none. The second class is set for the 25th of this month, it is unfortunately already sold out. I will announce the date of the August class in the next newsletter as well as on the website. To the lucky 35 people who got in, I look forward to sharing some Saisons with you!
Surly fridge!

Surly fridge
You people really, really love your Surly! In order to make sure I don't run out every week I had to go purchase a "Surly Storage Fridge" for out the back, even with it stuffed full I can barely keep the stuff in stock!

Cheers!
Some new Beers this week:

Sierra Nevada Anniversary Ale:
This year it's an IPA !
Sierra Nevada Anniversary Ale

Rogue Brewers Ale 2008:

Saison d'Epeautre

Gouden Carolus:
Hopsinjoor - A hopped up Belgian Golden Ale. 50 IBU's. It's no hop bomb but it's pretty hopped up for a Belgian!
We also just got a case of the "Classic" - A 8.5% Belgian Brown.
Gouden Carolus

Rush River "Bubble Jack IPA" and the "Unforgiven Amber" are in the fridge!
Rush River Brewing.

These represent just a few of the latest arrivals. The English section has been expanded and there are many more new brews tucked away in the dark wood shelving at the Four Firkins.

Thanks to everyone who has made this store such a fun place to be!
