You can hang your neon sign anywhere you
want
Neon lights, depending on the colors, are
affected by the cold but they will still work and not be damaged.
Red, Yellow, Pink tubes are filled with
neon gas and will be minimally affected by the cold.
Blue, Yellow, Green tubes are filled with argon
gas with a small amount of mercury. Similar to fluorescent lights at near
freezing temperatures the mercury doesn’t want to vaporize and will not
fully illuminate until it warms up.
So exposure to the changing temperatures
will not harm the neon light but it may affect how it warms up to full
illumination.
