A Beautiful Brewery “Campus” Hello folks! Well, the way everything is shaking down around here, the dust probably won’t be settled until next winter. One year ago we had just started to install the precast concrete wall panels of the new fermentation cellar. It was damn cold. And just like this winter, we were trying hard not to be too crabby about the temperature. Some people know that winter construction can be challenging and expensive. But we really didn’t plan to heat that humungous new cellar space to complete interior details, such as painting and installing floor tile. You may remember that it was sleeting and snowing the day we were dropping fermentation vessels through the roof. It was May. Cheers!

| Summit + Volunteers = Summiteers Summit was recently involved in two great volunteer projects. On February 15, Summit staff volunteered alongside members of Stegman’s Old Boys FC sorting food and other essential items at Second Harvest Heartland. In just a few short hours, we helped bag 11,630 pounds of food and hygiene products. On March 1, Summit coworkers and Stegman’s Old Boys club members took the Polar Plunge for a great cause! They jumped (yes, intentionally) into the icy cold waters of Lake Calhoun in effort to raise money for Special Olympics MN. All told our Summit Polar Beers team raised more than $2600 in pledges. |
