Thanks to Chris Smith and Mark Johnson for last night’s
planning session and start of construction of the ice house for club nite!
Attached is a photo of a very rough start with just some
parts laid out on the floor. We’re planning on 3 sections of wall
with a window in the middle section and 10 picnic taps on each of the side
sections. Each section will be 4 feet wide and 7 foot 3 inches tall.
Some ‘stuff’ we could use from anyone who has
it:
·
Photos of your ‘brewery’. Send
me a 4x6 photo and sign the front. Bring to Big Brew or the Saints Game
or mail to me at 9060 Douglas Drive, Eden Prairie 55347. We’ll make
a collage or just tack them to one of the walls.
·
We want to put a picture on the back of the
window to make it look like people are ice fishing outside. The window is
20 inches wide and 24 inches tall. If anyone has a picture of any kind
with a view of a lake with ice houses on it, please let me know or bring it to
Big Brew. Any other outdoor Minnesota winter scene would be an
alternative
·
Ice fishing ‘stuff’. Any
decorations that would be on the walls or floor of an ice fishing house are
welcome. Nets, rods, tip-ups, etc.
·
Old Minnesota beer stuff. Historic cans, plaques,
etc. that we can hang on the wall. We may not have room for everything,
but let’s see what we get. Nothing valuable just in case someone
from out-of-town decides to take a souvenir.
·
Fake icicles or snow or something similar we can
hang on the wall. Cheap stuff you want to donate only. Maybe a can
of spray snow from Xmas decorations. I don’t know if we’ll
have access to electricity.
·
Old white boards which will NOT be
returned. We may mount the taps through the board and then write the beer
name on the board. If this doesn’t work, we’ll use a strip of
duct tape and a marker!
·
Whatever else you can think of!
Please mark your name somewhere on the back of anything you
provide, so I can get it back to you later.
Remember to order your ‘Grumpy Old Men’ red
plaid hat from Chris!
And finally, brew beer for the hospitality suite and club
nite and let Steve Piatz know asap!
Cheers!
