Dave:
Was just there two weeks ago, and did some "research."
First, downtown.
I didn't go to the Rock Bottom, but it has a good reputation (and AHA
members get a discount). Water Street Brewery had six very solid beers (the
Irish Stout was excellent, which was surprising for a place with a heavy
German focus). Another feature of Water Street is the incredible collection
of breweriana, most of it from the Haydock collection.
West of town, Delafield Brewhaus has a good selection, and usually at least
a couple are adventurous. Hop heads need to stop in at Lake Mills (just off
I-94) and visit Tyranea. If their tasting room is open when you are there
you need to go there. You won't be disappointed. (Rob is using the old
Ambleside brewing equipment.)
Of course, if you're driving, a stop in Madison gives you a choice between
Great Dane, Angelic, and J.T. Whitney's.
Anyway, most of your choices are pretty good.
Doug.

Subject: Milwaukee Brewpubs?
Hey Gang,
I just found out I have to go to Milwaukee on business this Thursday. I will
be there overnight. Any recommendations for a "Must See" brewpub in
Milwaukee? I have a list of options that I found online, but I don't know
anything about them.
