Have you gone online to
http://www.mnbrewers.com/mashout to register
your entries for one of the largest homebrew contests in the country?
Sponsored by the St. Paul Homebrewers Club and the Minnesota Home
Brewers Assn., this is contest offers prizes along with medals for every
award.
In 2008 we're awarding more medals and also have more events scheduled
around a Belgian beer theme. This includes the hand-made wooden chalices
for best-of-show winners in beer, mead and cider. Check out the infamous
"Eis-Anything" category, and NEW this year there are two categories for
first time entrants (1060+ SG and 1060- SG).
Here are some of the "Why Don't We Brew it in a Robe" highlights:
-Speaker Stan Hieronymous, author of "Brew Like a Monk"
-The Brewer's Forum - a Q & A and beer tasting with local pro brewers
-The Indoor Pub Crawl - no buses, we bring the beer to you!
-Belgian-themed beer banquet (still only $30!) prepared by Chefs Manfred
Krug and Jerry
Pelton, both instructors at the St Paul Vocational Technical Institute's
Culinary program
-commemorative beer & glass for all judges & stewards
-judging session food for volunteers
ONLY 5 DAYS LEFT to register, and remember there is NO late registration
available this year!
Entries are accepted only through January 12th.
