CONGRATULATIONS TO RICK OFTEL of the Minnesota Home Brewer's Association, whose Irish Red Ale just took Third Place NATIONALLY in the Jan 2005 AHA Club Competition!!! http://www.beertown.org/homebrewing/club_winners.html Rick's win adds four points to our Club total for Homebrew Club of the Year competition, together with the 12 points for Kris England's earlier Smoked Beer win this year, brings our total to 16 - putting the MhBA in FIRST PLACE!!! Unfortunately QUAFF (The Quality Ale And Fermentation Fraternity) of California took first, so they're right behind us with 12 points. QUAFF has taken the Club-Only trophy for the last four straight years. We have vowed to bring the trophy home to Minnesota!
