Way back in the day, my father used to tell us lads about the times his great, great grandfather had back in 1710. In honor of my ancestors, and with the generous support of Smithwick’s, we’re turning back the clocks at Kip’s. On Friday, November 16, Smithwick’s is hosting a 1710 Happy Hour from 5 to 6 p.m. For the first 17 minutes and 10 seconds after 5 p.m., a pint of Smithwick’s is FREE. And after that, until 6 p.m., a pint of Smithwick’s brew will only set you back a nickel – the price you would’ve paid in a Kilkenny pub back in 1710.
