In honor of the American Homebrewers Association’s national Teach-A-Friend-To-Homebrew Day, the MN Homebrewers Association will put on its fourth annual demonstration event at Barley John’s Brewpub.  Details are below.

We will brew three extract batches, beginning one each at 10:30, 11:30, and 12:30.  I need volunteers who will walk the crowd of interested newbies through the process, highlighting each step and perhaps encouraging the crowd to help, e.g., they could tie a bag of hops and throw it in the kettle.  All ingredients will be provided by the club.  You just show up, show the crowd how easy it is to homebrew, then take home 5 gallons of wort in your sanitized carboy.  I’m still putting together the experiment, but it will involve brewing three identical batches with one variable.  In years past we’ve had identical recipes with different yeasts and different lengths of boil for the extract.  I’ll be bringing propane, a burner, and a kettle, but one extra setup would be appreciated!

Thanks!

John
