Hi there,
I emailed the group awhile back about a mead i was going to make. I ended up usng 10 lbs
hooney in about 3 gallons and used lalvin D47 and fermax. Now about 3 1/2 weeks later i
transferred to secondary and it is still at 1.046 more or less. Ferment temp was maybe 65
F. I didn't take a first reading, but based one some rules of thumb it looks like
starting OG was around 1.12. So it is maybe 10.5% ABV now.
Just curious if I should go throught the efforts of adding more yeast and energizer at
this point, or if it is pretty much done and I should just throw it in the basement and
forget about for awhile. There is some head space to work with so I have room to add more
honey/water and yeast.
Thanks much,
Will H
