Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day

Thanks to everyone who made the MN Homebrewers Association's fifth annual event such a success! Big thanks to John and Collin and the rest of the staff at BARLEY JOHN'S BREWPUB. They most graciously allow us to take over the restaurant for a large part of the day. Big thanks to . . . MIDWEST SUPPLIES NORTHERN BREWER BREW & GROW . . . for each providing a beginner's equipment kit and recipe kit (Midwest threw in two!) as door prizes. There were over 30 new brewers at the event, and three of them went home loaded for bear-they could have brewed that night with just their prizes. Thanks also to John Tracy Gera Exire LaTour Al Boyce for producing beer on site while walking the crowd through the process. All the beer made Saturday should be available for sampling at the club Christmas potluck, Friday, December 12th, 6-10 at the CSPS Hall (above the Glockenspiel) in Saint Paul. Thanks also to Chris Smith Mark Glewe for once again making the club cider purchase. People really appreciate that. And much thanks to those who helped in smaller ways, like buying ice, loading equipment, etc. The weather once again cooperated and a large crowd had a wonderful day. John Longballa
