Last evening the Imperial Stout was brewed. The mashtun was overflowing (honest) and my
gravity in 12 gallons was 1.100 without additional malt.
I wished I could have done it on a Saturday and used the second runnings to make a mild or
small beer but you know how it goes when you are trying to brew at night and work during
the day.
All the equipment was used including twin stir plates. Both carboys received about 3
liters of slurry.
As of this morning, everything was bubbling and the foam hadn't yet foamed over but
it had only been fermenting for 8 hours.
