The competition limits entries to 850, but targets an average of 6 beers per session for each judge. This requires a significant number of judges, and since we only use Recognized or higher judges, we provide plenty of incentives for our judges. Besides the smaller flights we also have lunch time speakers with the provided lunch, a Friday night beer/mead/cider pairing meal (4 course meal with a beer plus a mead or cider with each meal) with a $20 discount for volunteers, Saturday night awards ceremony with speaker, a commemorative glass and a raffle. This is also a great opportunity to socialize with judges in the area as we regularly get a number of judges from WI, MN, IL, MI, IA, IN and OH.
