MHBA Members-

The All-Club Minnesota Beer campout will be held Fri-Sun, Aug 2-4, 2013 in Cass Lake, MN.  If you HAVEN’T been to this yet – GET YOURSELF UP THERE!  It is a RIOT of a good time, camping with home brewers from all over Minnesota (and North Dakota.)

*Camp Nushka is a BEAUTIFUL campground, a former State Park site – and we’ll have it ALL to ourselves!

* On a lake – so bring your swim suit and water wings!

* We have a fun mini-competition on Saturday (Categories: Ales, Lagers, Belgians, and Meads)

* Beers brought to the campfires by all of the attendees make it the BEST beer bar in the 5-State area for that weekend!

* Fire Jenga may make a re-appearance (you have to see it to understand it)

* The Saturday Night dinner is provided by the sponsoring club – the Northern Ale Stars.

You’ll be sorry if you miss this!

Subject: Last Call for All Club Camp Out

Hi Everyone...the time of the camp out is near, so this is the last call...please forward on to your club members or anyone else you think would be interested.

If you've already signed up, no need to do so again, can't wait to see you.

If you have not signed up, please use the contact info below and do so soon.  We want to make sure we have food for you.

See all details below:

Come one, Come All To the All Club Camp Out!

Yes, it's that time of year again, the weather is warming up (sort of), the mosquitos are out in force and it's time for a camp out with great people, great food and, of course, great beer.

Details

  • Friday August 2-Sunday August 4 (Arrive anytime after 1 pm)
  • Camp Nushka (just east of Cass Lake, MN in the beautiful Chippewa Forest, on the shores of Cass Lake)
  • Many spaces available for tents, some camper sites as well.
  • Bring your own camping gear and food for the weekend (Saturday night meal provided) plus beer to share (kegs okay, we'll have jockey boxes available)
  • Cost $20 per person (cash or checks accepted; make payable to Northern Ale Stars)
  • This is a rustic site, no running water or electricity (drinking water will be available) so plan accordingly.  What the camp might lack in modern amenities, it more than makes up for in beauty and charm.

Events:

  • All Club competition Saturday afternoon (bring representation for your club in the categories of  Lagers, Ales, Belgians, Meads).  See if your club can take home the coveted trophy keg)
  • Saturday Dinner a Northern Minnesota Crab Boil (sponsored by the Northern Ale Stars)
  • Fire Jenga (to those who are regulars to this event, no explanation needed, to new comers, you won't want to miss this)
  • Bring Bocce ball or any other yard games you have

So we can make sure we have enough food, please e-mail your plan to attend to tsarne@msn.com by July 26.  You can send questions to the same e-mail address.

    Directions:

  • From the East, West or South, take which ever route brings you to highway 2, west of Grand Rapids, East of Bemidji or Cass Lake

  • Turn West on Cass Bluff Loop Road go 1.2 miles
  • Look for the sign (on the left) that says Camp Nushka (if you hit Knutson Dam, you've gone too far).
