Dear Al,
Just a quick reminder that the 2009 LongShot entries are due in 6 short weeks (April 15 – May 1, 2009)! So much fermenting to do and so little time!
If you haven’t done so, please be sure to “Submit Your Entry” on the website. This can be done by:
1. Visit: www.samueladams.com
2. Click on the “Promotions” button
3. Click on the “LongShot” page
4. Click on the “Log-in to Your Account” button
5. Enter your username & password
6. Click the “Add New Entry” button
7. Follow the instructions to submit your entry
Once this process is complete you will receive an email with the appropriate shipping address and instructions. This email will also include your pre-printed bottle labels!
You may be asking yourself “Which category do I enter?” Please see the following excerpt from our rules/regulations:
Which category do I enter?
It is up to you. Enter your brew in the category and subcategory where you feel it will perform best. Judges do not see your entry form. Judges or organizers will not classify or reclassify your entry. If your beer falls outside of the category’s guidelines written here, your beer will not be disqualified. The LongShot ® 2009 Samuel Adams® American Homebrew Contest® uses the 2008 Beer Judges Certification Program Style Guidelines. A downloadable version of the complete style descriptions is available at http://www.bjcp.org/stylecenter.php . Please note this competition only includes style numbers 1 to 23.
