If you get one of your brew-club buddies to put in a
spigot on your
kettle, you can still use your "duck" as a backup for when you
accidentally send a piece of saran wrap into the spigot, but that's
another story...
One thing nice about this setup (other than a backup when your spigot
gets blocked) you can add it into the kettle this at the end of
the boil. This keeps your kettle free for skimming, adding hops, ...
BTW, plastic wrap has its place in the brewery, it just isn't in
your transfer plumbing.
