RE: the huib bike co-op homebrew event information!!

I'm a little confused by this. Most of the people attending will not be homebrewers? Homebrewers are being asked to donate 2-3 gallons of their homebrew for the chance of winning a gift certificate? Normally when we enter contests we only donate a couple bottles. It seems kind of like an easy way to get a lot of free (and most excellent) beer for the bash. Am I the only one who sees it this way? Homebrewers are often generous folks, but this might be asking a bit much. I guess you'll see what kind of response you get. I could be wrong - it's happened at least 3 times. Oh, I'm down with the biking. I bicycle commute 9 months of the year. But I'm also a brewer who has a raised eyebrow at this request. Please note: message attached
