Oh no... don't close mondays! Some of us need a kick in the butt with
good beer to just make it to each week's Hump.
They are open _some_ Sundays... if Sunday demand picks up they'll
open... currently they're offering Sunday dinner/supper options (but
only when they announce it (so far once).)

Whoa!
5.6%abv ?! I didn't think John brewed anything between his 3.5%abv bitter and 7%+
abv everything else.
I guess I'll have to have 3 beers next time I go -- usually it's either 4
bitters or 2 specials. Three beers at Barley John's... hmmm... I don't know what
that will be like.
Now that they've hit the mid-octane range, maybe they'll do something really
wacky, like open up on Sunday. Many a Sunday has passed where I was coming down 35 and got
off on County Road D with anticipation of a fine brew and grilled pizza, only to find the
parking lot empty and the lights out. Do us a favor and close on Monday instead of Sunday.

Spring Beer Releases:
**********************
Maibock (7.2%abv): We brewed this years Maibock in the German Brewing
tradition, incorporating a double-decoction mash and a true 4 month
lagering period. Gold color, emphasis on the malt and a complimentary
bitterness.
Triple Oat Stout (5.6%abv): This beer is named for the usage of three forms
of Oats in the mash - Golden Naked Oats, Toasted Flaked Oats and whole
malted Oats. This trio makes itself known under a backdrop of stout
roastiness. Complimented with a traditional stout tang on the finish to add
a refreshing springtime zest.
Dark Knight is coming.... The Barrels have been emptied, the kegs have been
filled and the Dark Knight is poised to make a return. Look for it on tap
this Friday, May 12th...
