Speaking of which, I am the AHA "Evang-Ale-ist" for the
MhBA. What does that mean? If anyone wants to sign up for the AHA or
renew their membership, I can get you 10% off. See me at the club
meeting/Chili Contest on March 10 if you're interested.

Scott,
Many
folks have won many contests using extracts and kits.
We
will be having a little all grain get-together this May-5 and welcome your
attendance. We are planning to brew about 80 gallons of bitter
wort to share with the unsuspecting and uninitiated. The systems are
fairly large but the concept is simple. Can't tell you the style at
this time. Suggestions? This is on the Minneapolis side of the
river with the chalky water. We just can't help it.

I'd really like to get into all grain brewing but
am unsure what the best method would be to do that. It seems there are
different methods of brewing all grain? I see that Northern Brewer sells
two different kits one being the regular and the other being the deluxe.
The deluxe seems like it would be more easy to use than the regular. Maybe
there are other options such as making my own kit? With all this talk of
submitting beers for contest I'd like to get away from extracts so I can start
fine tuning my skills and hopefully someday be able to submit my own.
Does anyone have any good online or in print resources or advice for a
brewer looking to make the jump?
Thanks all,
Scott
