Rick,
Two Wheel brewery uses a 50(?) gallon electric hot water heater for
brewery water. Drew and I have it plumbed so we can add brewing salts,
check temps and pump recirculate to manage the water. It is gravity fed
and use a pump to draw water. Electric is nice if the brewery is in the
basement since you don't need to vent it. Brewery tours are available
if anyone wants to see it.
You can never have enough hot water,
rick
OK, Maybe you don't have adequate space for this
wonderful brewery but
what about an incredible hot liquor tank. True, it looks somewhat
similar to a household hot water heater but think about the advantages.
1. Automatic temperature control
2. 40 gallon capacity
3. Use with pressure or gravity feed
4. Price you just can't beat!
5. Works with natural gas or converts to propane.
I originally thought about using this wonderful gray vessel in the
enlarged garage brewery but realized I had more brewing capacity than
consumers.
Anyone interested? Going away next week.
PS. It does NOT leak!
