Beer "snobs" are similar to cigar snobs, car snobs, economically-privilaged
snobs, etc.
I prefer treating fellow humans with respect and consideration.
It's enjoyable to learn something new from anyone. And when someone is
actually
interested enough to ask about microbial terminology, it is fun to add to the
mix. No strings attached or expectations, just information exchange.
Sure, there are lots of ways to pronouce words or brew beer. And, in the big
picture it does not matter much at all....not nearly as much as being kind, or
thoughtful, or helpful, or willing to accept ideas from anyone,
especially as a
friend. Which is what I consider my fellow fermenting fanatics to be!
