I brew in the garage, today we closed the door because of
the cold. But even my superb 35K btu burner will get 12
gallons to a boil outside on an icecold day.
My garage is kind of far away from the house, water,
electricity... all the good stuff.
I did finally manage to get the sucker to boil, 4
hours 20 minutes after finishing the sparge. It
took some more fiddling with the flame to get a good
high-BTU stable afterburner-ish flame going, but
that got the boil going within an hour.
