BJCP MEAD JUDGING CLASS
Open to everyone interested in Mead Judging
CSPS Hall
383 Michigan St
St.Paul, MN 55102
Sunday, August 3, 1pm-3pm
$20 per person (collected at the event)
Following the Mead exam and after a break for lunch, BJCP President Gordon
Strong and BJCP Continuing Education Director Kris England will present a
Mead Judging seminar. Commercial and home-made meads will be open-tasted,
followed by discussion on each mead. The topic will be Mead-JUDGING, as
compared to Mead-MAKING, mead-judging vocabulary, common flaws, and
troubleshooting will be covered.
You NEED NOT be a BJCP judge to participate in this event! This is open to
any and all who are interested in learning about mead tasting. Significant
others are welcome and encouraged.
CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED! Register with me: alboyce(a)bigfoot.com
Why have the class AFTER the test, you ask?
1) If you taste meads for two hours and THEN took the test, you'd be MESSED
UP!
2) If you're not ready for the test at 9am, you won't be any MORE ready at
1pm!
This is the SIXTH and FINAL event in the Twin Cities National Mead Weekend.
(Whew!)
