Gang,
The WinDAT decoder is not free, unfortunately... although you can use
it on a trial-basis to solve this particular issue.
The original email from Rick looks like Outlook embedded the spreadsheet
into the email... the PDF from Chris was accessible and I've renamed it
and attached it to an email not being sent from Outlook -- so that
should keep it pristine.
Here's a PDF sent from Thunderbird (email program) in Linux -- this
should keep it from getting mangled...
