I have pretty much the same opinion as Al.
Lately it's been tough finding the time to brew, thus no beers to enter and
limited time to pack everything up.
I have gotten comments back that didn't make sense, but I am aware that one
competition will NOT give me the best feedback. If I enter the same beer in
at least two comps, there will be more consistency in the comments.
Lastly, I enjoy seeing the progressively more complimentary comments over
the years as I use the feedback to tweak my brewing.

I'll kick it off...
I enter contests because:
1) I want honest, unbiased opinions of my beer, and how I can make it
better
2) I like to PARTICIPATE in beer contests, and I like to
enter my beers in
the contests I participate in
3) I like to WIN - and you can't win if you don't enter!
4) I like to support the hobby, and entering contests
encourages more and
better brewing by participating members

Curt Stock and I have been kicking around why people do or
don't enter beer
contests. What's your reasons, either way?
Discuss!
