Guys and Gals,
Currently, we have four master brewer volunteers producing Oktoberfest,
Summer Wheat, Mild Ale, and Smoked Porter.
We have one additional opening for Master Brewer. All you need to do is
to submit a good recipe that doesn't use too many hops and agree to
supervise the brewing of your batch. Of course, this means you need to
mash the grist, operate the outlet valves, transfer the liquid, and
clean up a bit after each function. Well, there might be some lifting
and mixing. All in all, it is a low key event designed to introduce you
to all grain brewing. OK, you might get your feet wet.
After producing all of this bitter wort, the fun begins. Most of us do
not have the facilities to ferment 40+ gallons of beer or the friends to
help consume it. There will be at least 20 openings for bitter wort and
more if we add a fifth batch.
We have an exciting day in the planning for May 3rd. Please respond
with your initial requests for bitter wort.
The first five responders to each category will have the opportunity to
purchase 5 gallons. Currently, we believe we can sell the bitter wort
for about $1.50 per gallon but need to check with out materials
department a little further.
Get your requests in! Don't forget about the additional Master Brewer
opening!
