Just a reminder that the MHBA meeting is this Saturday, July 19th from noon to 3 pm at Mighty Axe Hops. 16501 Buchannan Street NE, Ham Lake, MN 55304. They wanted to make sure we came to visit before the hops are harvested in the fall.
Mighty Axe is a 1/4 acre (and growing) hop yard and MN hops hub with a story. Over a century ago Eric’s Great Grandfather tilled the land at the Sannerud farm with the values of hard work, collaboration and respect for the land. Nearly a hundred years later Eric wanted to do the same. Joined by his two good friends, Ben and Brian, and spurred by their love of Minnesota craft beer, they started to cultivate high quality, uniquely flavored, and environmentally sustainable hops; thus Mighty Axe Hops was born. http://www.mightyaxehops.com/ You are encouraged to bring home brews, picnic lunch, and chair/blankets. -Gera
