Hello, friend of the AHA! You are currently RSVP'ed for the Surly / AHA Rally on October 10, 2009. For more information: http://www.beertown.org/email/aha/rallies/surly09.htm

Surly Brewing Company will brew 30 barrels of wort for the AHA Rally attendees. There will be enough wort for 160 five-gallon carboys or kegs. If you are able to participate, you will need to bring a clean five-gallon carboy or keg to fill (no bottles). You will be able to sanitize that vessel on-site prior to filling. Surly will provide the oxygenated wort at 70 degrees. You can bring a starter or pitch yeast you bring. Northern Brewer will have a number of dry yeasts available for free.

Surly has picked a base wort that gives you options! You decide…..ale, lager, sour, wood aged, wine yeast or all of the above. The beer will be brown in color with a caramel raisin malt character balanced by classic American hop bitterness and aroma.
