Hey All,
My understanding is that the majority, if not all, such devices require a
factory re-calibration about every 6 months regardless of whether or not it
was used. Apparently, the sensors drift over time and the units must be
sent back to the manufacturer for replacement and/or calibration.
Apparently, there is at least one device out there for which the sensor can
be replaced by the user/owner eliminating the need, and cost, for mailing
the gizmo. But, the sensor must be replaced/re-calibrated regardless.
Groupon had an offer earlier this week or late last week.
Regards,
Dipak
