Just
in time for winter and the colder fermentation temperatures that we
must all deal with, Northern Brewer presents: The European Lager
Series...
* Stellar Tois - This dry finishing lager has a
golden-straw hue and evinces a white-laced head. Light-bodied
with a hint of hop bitterness and flavor. Stellar!
* Tmave
Vycepni 10 - Inspired by the maltier cousins of Plzn's better-known
light lagers. This dark lager combines intense malt and more
liberal hopping rates common in Bohemian Pilsners to create a session
beer that you can't put down. Go ahead and brew a double batch,
you'll be glad you did.
* Celebrationizator Doppelbock - Brew this
high-gravity dark lager now so that you can enjoy it as the Winter
really sets in. When properly aged, slight notes of
alcohol-warmth only begin to betray the strength hidden behind notes
of dried fruit, burnt caramel, toast, and bread dough.
* Farley's
Svetle Pivo in 3D (All-Grain Only) - This export-strength Czech Lager
couldn't have fewer ingredients, or a more complicated mash
schedule. One malt, one hop, Czech Lager yeast, and three
decoctions. Try your hand at this one if you're ambitious, or
if you're experienced enough to know that there's no substitute for
true decoction mashing.

#2247 European Lager - This higher-attenuating lager yeast from
Eastern Europe ferments dry for a crisp finish.
* #2487 Hella-Bock
- Tolerant to higher levels of alcohol than most lager strains, this
yeast accents malt character without sacrificing attenuation.

#2782 Staro-Prague - Hailing from the Czech Republic, this yeast is a
no-brainer for producing classic full-bodied Czech-style lagers.

#515 Antwerp Ale - This Belgian ale yeast produces clean-finishing
ales reminiscent of some lager yeasts. Great for Belgian
blondes and pale ales.

gravities and accents malt character for big-bodied beers.

Zurich Lager - This Swiss lager yeast is among the most alcohol
tolerant lager strains in the world! Diacetyl and sulfur

Blanc - Even though Chenin ripens late, it retains crisp acidity,
underpinning bright flavors of green apple, tropical fruit and
melons, with a distinctly floral nose and a juicy quenching finish.

World Vinyard Italian Barolo - Medium body with a luminous dark
cherry color. Not for the faint of heart, or impatient vintner,
Barolo is for those seeking intensity and complexity.

International Chilean Sauvignon Blanc - A nose of honeydew, peach and
gooseberry is followed by a silky palate with white peach and mineral
flavors and a long finish.
* Selection International Australian
Grenache/Shiraz/ Mourvedre - The blending of these three grapes is a
classic and makes for a blend of length, power, and fruitiness.
