Twenty people are on the edge of their seats, hoping that they will soon be
relaxing in their bus seats on the way to nine Wisconsin brewpubs.
Unfortunately, we need to get closer to thirty folks on board to make the
Beer Good Bus Tour II a reality.
If you were on the fence, please join us today! If you know people who
would love to come along, please contact them. By Monday I need to make
this trip a "go" or pull the (spark) plug on the bus. We have a number of
people who contacted me this week after seeing the poster in the State Fair
display booth, so there might be a few signing up yet.
You really don't want to see the mopey crestfallen faces of your brewing
compatriots all fall, do you? You don't really want to hear the
disappointed whining for years from the 20 who had to stay home, do you?
I thought not. Now tell me you're coming! Imagine the cheers and
appreciation you'll receive when YOU save the bus trip!
Thanks,
John

The bus is gassed and waiting . . .
The comfy hotel rooms are clean and booked . . .
The 9(?!) Wisconsin brewpubs are notified, and they await
us, tap handles firmly in hand . . .
All that's left is for you to get on board the Beer Good Bus
Tour II!
The tentative itinerary looks like this:
6:00 AM, Saturday, October 8th, leave Saint Paul on a luxury
bus complete with bathrooms.
6:01 Commence with people's choice competition for the
second-ever rolling beer competition.
9:00 Visit brand new Marshfield brewpub
10:00 View road-trip film on bus: American Beer
12:30-3:00 eat lunch at Hinterland Brewpub in Green Bay
(Titletown Brewpub is ACROSS the STREET!!)
3:30 enjoy Legends Brewpub in De Pere
5:30 enjoy Rowland's Brewpub in Chilon
6:30 thumb noses at Briess Malting, who will not allow us
to stop for a tour
7:00 dinner at Stone Cellar Brewpub in Appleton
??? crash hard at the Super 8 in Oshkosh
Sunday, October 9th
All day--avoid crazy Packer fans
11:00 lunch/breakfast at Fox River Brewpub in Oshkosh
3:00 tour Sand Creek microbrewery in Black River Falls
5:00 dinner at Northwoods Brewpub in Eau Claire
7:00 tumble out of bus in Saint Paul
The cost of the bus is around $50 per person, and if we get
more than 30 people, the cost goes down.
The Super 8 is non-smoking rooms with two double beds for
$66 (price should drop when I get ahold of the right
manager!) per room.
Other costs--depends on how much sampling you do at
nine(?!?) different establishments!
You don't want to miss this trip! We'll be talking about it
for years. To book, please e-mail me at jlongb(a)ties2.net,
or call me at 651.292.9693 to reserve your spot. Please
send me a non-refundable (unless the whole trip is
cancelled) deposit of $50 per person (payable to John
Longballa) so that I know who's really going. Many spouses
are coming along, so assure your non-brewing others that
they will have non-dorks to talk to!
Priority will be given to those who have responded to
previous messages (assuming I get their money quickly), but
there should be plenty of room for all!
Thanks for you interest in this trip, and please e-mail or
call me with any questions.
See you on the bus!
John
