A reminder for this Saturday’s club meeting.

10am to Noon At Shakopee Brewery:

Long pants may be a good idea for the tour as well as some flashlights.  We may be going underground and there are stinging nettles in the area.  Also may be some mosquitoes, so bring some spray/lotion.  You can change to shorts afterwards depending on the weather.

Shakopee Brewery is located at 11086 Chaparral Ave., Shakopee, MN 55379.  From downtown Shakopee take County 69 west, called 1st Ave. in downtown Shakopee.  Go past Rahr Malting.  At the top of hill west of Shakopee you'll see the Town Square shopping mall and theatre, turn right onto Chaparral. Go to RR tracks, hang a left, you're there!  You may need to park near the tracks and walk a short bit.  Look for my red Outback or we may have some signs posted, if we remember.

Bring some homebrew to share with Trenk and to thank him for his hospitality.

Following the tour, we’ll meet for a pot luck lunch at Dave Luskey’s at 1pm.  Dave’s address is 150 West 170th Street, Shakopee, MN 55379.  To get there from Shakopee Brewery take 69 south to the stop lights at 169.  Take a left and go north on 169 one mile. Take the Marystown Road exit.  Turn left (south) on Marystown Road.  Go 4.9 miles through Marystown and keep driving until you come to County Rd. 70 or 170th street - they are one in the same. Take a left and drive until you arrive at the first house on your left. Approx. 1 mile.  It’s pot luck, so bring a dish to share and, of course beverages.

There will be smoked brisket at the potluck, so plan accordingly.

Gera – remember the hard hats!

Folding chairs would also be a good idea.
