As one of the judges who judged these beers last night, all I can say is
there are some phenomenal beers here. (I still don't know their names
until the winners are announced later today.)
These are mostly very strong beers. So, avoid problems parking and
driving home afterwards and take PUBLIC TRANSIT to the very door! Ride
the CTA Red Line "L" to Grand/State, and walk directly upstairs to Rock
Bottom. The Red Line has frequent service 24 hours. The CTA station,
which is practically in the basement of Rock Bottom, is closer than you
could possibly park. Also served by busses 65 Grand, 29 State, 36
Broadway.

I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the
morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.

FEST<BR>
The Illinois Craft Brewers Guild to host Barrel Aged
Beer Fest.
The Illinois Guild of Craft Brewers will hold the first annual Festival of
Barrel Aged Beer on April 1st, 2003 at the Rock Bottom Brewery in downtown
Chicago!
The event will go from 5-11pm and feature barrel and wood aged beer from
the Midwest and beyond!
$16 will get you into the fest, a nifty tasting glass and eight sample
tickets, with extras available for purchase.
Come taste the beers that have become so popular that the Great American
Beer Festival created a category just for them!
