FROM AHA TECH TALK:

Hi All,
The AHA is extremely excited to launch a completely new website for homebrewers, replacing the old beertown.org/homebrewing site.  Check it out at www.homebrewersassociation.org .

HomebrewerAssociation.org is a dream of the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) Governing Committee that has finally come to fruition after many years of discussion. The AHA staff and the Brewers Association web team have logged many hundreds of hours of work to put this site together for you.

The goal of HomebrewersAssociation.org is to provide the homebrewing community with an online resource for all things homebrewing. With that in mind, much of the site is devoted to user-generated content. The AHA Forum, an online discussion group for all topics of homebrewing, is open to all homebrewers. It’s like an online version of TechTalk.

The AHA homebrewopedia is a wiki-based resource, where homebrewers from around the world are invited to share their recipes and brewing knowledge.

Along the lines of building community, we have sections of the website for you to provide us with photos and descriptions of your brewing equipment, bios of your fellow homebrewers, and profiles of your homebrew club.

Go to Pimp My System in the AHA Forum to add descriptions and images of your homebrew system and gadgets. While you are there, go to the Homebrewer Bios folder to post images and text telling the world about a homebrewer we should all know better (that could be you!). We will post a new system or gadget and a Brewer of the Week on the homepage of HomebrewersAssociation.org every week.

In addition to articles geared towards helping homebrew clubs with club events and management, the new Homebrew Club Resources pages also have a section on homebrew Club Profiles. We encourage you to post a description and photographs of your club to share with the community. Once a week we will post a new Club Profile on the homepage of HomebrewersAssociation.org.  Club Resources also has sections for clubs to post their club benefits and club newsletters.

As members of the AHA, you can update your membership information directly from the website.  We will soon be adding Members-Only content to the site as an added membership benefit.

The success of www.HomebrewersAssociation.org depends on the participation of the entire homebrewing community, but especially the members of the AHA. With that in mind, I urge you to search the site over and begin contributing in the AHA Forum, on homebrewopedia, and by posting to Pimp My System, Homebrewer Bios, and Club Profiles.

We hope you like the new site!
