free malt on Saturday

Those attending the MHBA meeting at noon on Saturday at John Katics' house http://www.mnbrewers.com/ will have an opportunity to take home free malt. Our friend Kelly Kuehl, a founder of MHBA, now works for Great Western Malting. He needs to get rid of 600-700 pounds of malt samples in one-pound, vacuum-sealed bags that were sent to him by mistake. This includes a variety of crystal and dark malts, as well as base malts. Varieties include Thomas Fawcett, Franco-Belges, Hugh Baird, Best Balz of Germany and Canadian pilsner. Rick Oftel and I are picking it up, and it will be available at the meeting.
