LOL!  Sounds like they're populating the fridge for the office Christmas party to me!

They have not registered it as a BJCP-sanctioned competition, and they have not (to my knowledge) asked for any help from the local beer judge community, so I wouldn't expect any sort of useable scoresheets back.  No mention of any awards other than the "grand prize".  And.. a six-pack of precious home brew required for evaluation?

Caveat emptor!

I called and talked to a worker.  She said she thought they needed about a 6 pk.  I asked, really?  Yeah, that should be good.  Clearly they aren't in the habit of judging a ton of beer.  That is way overkill.  If I submit I would bring maybe 3-4 bottles.  I mean, come on.

Some type of form would be filled out when you drop them off.  I did not ask about multiple entries.  I have no idea of the judging criteria either.   Just, the one they like best?

The deadline is Dec 18.

Bottles can be dropped off at the downtown office.  I don't know about shipping.

I am guessing they don't know what they are getting into.  I mean, for a prize this great, they could be unknowingly unleashing a tsunami of entries upon themselves, and are about to drown in waves of locally made beer.

That seems like a very vague competition.  Can we ship the beer?  How many bottles do they need?  When do we need to have the beer there by?  Have I missed the deadline?  Are they just doing this as a scam to get free beer?

Those are the details that The Onion has provided.  You drive down to the address shown at the bottom and drop off your homebrew to enter.  That's all the info I have and all the info they've provided.
