Summer has arrived here in New England which means our calendars are starting to fill up with BBQ's and clam bakes. No matter the dish being served, we're always sure to bring plenty of Boston Lager and Summer Ale to pair with the great food and great company. These are the months we look forward to as we're driving to the brewery on those cold January
mornings.
Even though we'll enjoy some vacation this summer, we still have a job to do. We're continuing to roll out the Beers of Summer variety pack, Porch Rocker, and Summer Ale and are busy experimenting on our nano brewing system, developing new recipes for later this year. We have also heard from many of you on Facebook and Twitter and it sounds like you're enjoying the new Sam Cans as much as we are!
We'll leave you with this: Boston is a beautiful city to visit in the summertime and can be paired perfectly with a free tour that serves cold beer at the end.
Brewlywed Ale Available One Day Only - June 26

News from Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream
The first Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream Regional Pitch Room Competition took place in San Francisco on June 11th. Six local small business owners had the opportunity to perfect their sales pitch in front of a panel of industry experts. Regional finalists from each Pitch Room will fly to Boston to compete against the other regional winners in the finals for the chance to win a $10k business grant!
Congratulations to Cole Meeker of Sea of Change Trading Company who was chosen as a regional finalist. Cole and his team are based in Windsor, CA and make high quality and tasty baked seaweed snacks in unique flavors such as original maple, garden veggie, and Thai BBQ. As the name implies, Samuel Adams Belgian Session is our take on a summer sessionable brew. For those not familiar with the style, session beer is typically defined as any beer that contains no higher than 5 percent ABV (though many debate this number), featuring a balance between malt and hop characters and, typically, a clean finish - a
combination that creates a beer with high drinkability. Session beer allows a beer drinker to enjoy multiple beers, within a reasonable time period, without overwhelming the senses or reaching inappropriate levels of
intoxication.
For our Belgian Session, we use a top-fermenting Belgian yeast that creates signature Belgian notes of fruit and spice, particularly clove, in the aroma, flavor and finish of the beer. Our blend of malts nicely balances this Belgian character with a light toffee and caramel character from its subtle malt sweetness.
Belgian Session is exclusive to the Beers of Summer variety pack.
