For many years, I have considered a float made with
stout and vanilla
ice cream to be a very special summertime treat. Dry stouts (e.g.
Guinness) seem to be an exceptionally good counterpoint to the sweetness
of a high-quality vanilla ice cream. I think a float would be better
than mixing it all up in a blender, though of course some research might
now be necessary...
