Thanks a lot to everyone who replied!
Seems like France 44, Cellar's and Winestreets are the recommended places.

Subject: Good places to buy beer
Hello:
I'm running out of types of craft brews to try at my local beer store in
Eden Prairie. Any suggestions of where I can go to find a good variety of
microbrews and foreign beers (UK, Germany, Belgium, Czeck) would be
appreciated. I live in Eden Prairie so something on the west side of town
would be more appropriate. I know about Surdyks and Blue Max.
Someone said there is a good place at 50th and France, is this true?
Anything else in the Edina area? I'm working by France and 494 right now.
Thanks
Kirby

Hello all,
Just a note to let you know that plan for the first international mead and
cider festival in Chicago are cranking up. We expect more than 50
different meads and ciders along with a perry or two and all this will be
accompanied by food samples designed for pairing with these special
beverages. In addition, the Saturday session will include speakers and
panels to enlighten us on the subjects of honey, beekeeping, mead making,
cider apples, perry, etc.
Check out the web page at www.meadfest.com and plan to join us in November.

I've been using my chest freezer off and on for several years for
lagering...haven't run into problems or heard about this before.
Although I have heard that excessive moisture buildup can cause
them to rust out...I dunno...

Bob-
Thanks for the info! My thermostat is analog, I can only set it to ONE
temperature. How would your father-in-law's advice apply to that?
Thanks!

Al,
I called my father-in-law, a retired appliance repairman, and asked him.
He
says no problem. I have read that the only thing to avoid when using a
digital thermostat is to not set the temperature spread too small. i.e. do
not have the compressor turning on and off in high intervals. I use a
three
degree temperature spread on mine. Bob Cromer
