Summit Brewing Co. announces two new beers before the start of summer
ST. PAUL, MN (May 8, 2012) Summit Brewing Company today announces the
release of two new beers: Summer Ale, a new summer seasonal, and Sága IPA,
offered year-round. Both beers will be released in draught and bottles the
week of May 14.
³We¹re excited to launch two new beers with distinct personalities to kick
off summer,² said Mark Stutrud, founder of Summit Brewing Company. ³We¹ve
put a lot of passion into these brews they¹re a great addition to our beer
line-up.²
Summer Ale will replace Summit¹s Hefe Weizen and is a new take on a classic
German Kölsch: a crisp, refreshing brew offering elegant fruity and flora
aromas and toasted malt qualities. Keeping in line with the refreshing feel,
the image on the beer¹s packaging by a local photographer is of Minnehaha
Falls, a beautiful urban waterfall that is just minutes from the brewery.
Sága IPA is named after Sága, the Norse Goddess of Poetry who was the God
Odin¹s drinking companion. Sága is an assertive brew with a pronounced hop
flavor and tropical fruit aromas such as kiwi, passion fruit, apricot and
gooseberry. The beer gets some of its robust aroma from the use of Rakau
hops from New Zealand a much sought after hop growing region amongst craft
brewers.

DETAILS:
On Saturday night, May 12, Beth and I will be having a party to celebrate the music of PAUL GEREMIA!
Paul Geremia has been singing and living the blues since 1966! Combining his interpretation of the earlier music of people like Blind Lemon Jefferson, Robert Johnson, Blind Willie McTell, Scrapper Blackwell and Blind Blake, with his original compositions, he has created a style which is very much his own and which has received accolades in the U.S.A. and Europe, too numerous to mention. He worked as opening act for some of the early blues "legends" thereby gaining an immeasurable depth of knowledge from people like Babe Stovall, Yank Rachel, Son House, Skip James, Howlin' Wolf, and many others, especially Pink Anderson whose career he helped revitalize.
This will also serve as the “Goodbye to Minnesota (for a while)” party before Beth and I start our trip to the South Pacific on May 16. Come and see us off in style!
Please join us to party with Paul Geremia on Saturday, May 12, 2012, show time starting at 8pm. Mark your calendar - it's going to be a PARTY!

Please note: This is a private party, in our private home. This party is NOT a business nor is it a business related activity. It is simply a gathering of our friends and guests to enjoy live music, fellowship, food (a potluck) and fun. It is officially free (or else it might be considered a business), although voluntary contributions (suggested donation of $15 per person) are accepted on behalf of the artists. 100% of all contributions go directly to the performers. By invitation only.
Looks like someone has gotten a copy of your address book, assume that you
have a compromised computer. I received the following, which is a well
known scam:

Hope you get this on time, I made a trip to Swansea, Wales and had my bag
stolen
from me with my passport and credit cards in it. The embassy is willing to
help by
letting me fly without my passport, I just have to pay for a ticket and
settle Hotel
bills. Unfortunately for me, I can't have access to funds without my
credit card,
I've made contact with my bank but they need more time to come up with a
new one. I
was thinking of asking you to lend me some quick funds that I can give
back as soon
as I get in. I really need to be on the next available flight.
I can forward you details on how you can get the funds to me. You can
reach me via
email or on Blue Island hotel front desk phone, the numbers are,+447045765648
I await your response...
Michael

I'd expect that at least a few others on this list have gotten this. If
you do not have independent confirmation that Michael really is in trouble
overseas, don't fall for this.

Yep, you guessed it. It is time for the GREAT TASTE OF THE MIDWEST ticket buy. We were only alloted 25 tickets this year. Tickets are 50.00 per ticket. Because it is only 25 tickets this year we are limiting 2 tickets per person. You Provide your own transportation and hotel reservations. This is a great festival in Madison Wisconsin. It is on August 11th. This is the web page www.mhtg.org/great-taste-of-the-midwest click on it if you would like to know more about it. This will be a first come first serve basis. Email me by putting gtom and the number of tickets in the subject line. so it will look like this... gtom1 or gtom2. please also include your mailing address, so that I can mail them to you when I get them. Payment will be cash or check made out to me, in my hand by Wednesday May 9th. Your tickets will not arrive to us until early to mid July. I will mail them to you or give them out to you at that time. I will email the lucky recipients right away so that you don't have to wonder if you got them. Good Luck!! Jeff Luskey
I'm running low on time to return the tickets that we don't need, so please step up to the plate if you've been meaning to attend to this matter. Thanks! (the original message)Back by popular demand, the 2012 version of Sinning With the Saints! Monday, June 11th, the MN Homebrewers Association will once again stake a claim to tailgating spot #5 in Midway Stadium's parking lot for grilling, chilling, and swilling from 4:00 until 11:00. At 7:00, some attendees might even take their tickets and enter the stadium to harass the players from Fargo-Moorhead, the mascot, and each other. At least twice in years past we've had club members on the field for between-inning nonsense--some as cross-dressers, some with root beer as shampoo! There will be tables and chairs provided by the club. I'll need two volunteers (or just Bob Norman, with his TEXAS-SIZED CONTRAPTION!) to bring grills. You'll bring meat and some food to share (and homebrew, of course). The club will provide napkins, plasticware, and condiments. Tickets are $12 each, and children aged three and over should have one. Please send a check, PAYABLE to MHBA, toJohn Longballa1015 Parker AveRoseville 55113 Attendees NEED NOT be members. There are usually many spouses, kids, and extended friends/families in attendance. Please let me know that you're attending SOOOOONER, rather than after I've had to once again panic that we have four times the tickets we need, then send in your checks, then plan a dish to share, then brew some beer to bring . . . Thanks,
John Personal. Professional.
