Hi to all,
Does anyone have a 3 gallon carboy available for prepping some mead at Midwest
Supply on Mead Day?? I've sort of volunteered to help Chris Smith and make a
batch of mead on site, but I'd prefer to keep it a small volume.
Whoever can provide the 3 gallon carboy will also share in a few bottles of the
mead when it is finished.
Thanks and cheers,
Steve Weiland
Hi Bryan,
Thanks for the reply and the offer. I've got 5 gallon carboys....
Initially, I
can ferment in one of those, but for the final clarification, I'd
prefer using a
3 gallon unit.

MEASURE PRESSURE BETWEEN CONTACTING SURFACES
Pressurex pressure indicating sensor film can reveal pressure distribution and magnitude
between any two contacting or impacting surfaces. This thin plastic sensor film is placed
at the actual contact surfaces and instantaneously and permanently captures the pressure
profile by changing color. Similar in concept to Litmus paper, the color Pressurex turns
is also directly proportional to the amount of force applied and can be quantified.
Pressurex can be used in many applications including in a bolted joint interface,
composite layup, heat sealing and lamination presses; it can act as a force sensing
resistor, and it can measure surface pressure distribution whether it is used as an impact
force sensor, seat pressure sensor, as a strain gauge or even as nip impression paper.
If you would like to receive a sample of Pressurex, simply click on only one of the
buttons below to indicate the pressure range most suitable to your application and we'll
gladly send one out to you. Please be sure to include complete contact info and a full
mailing address.

Happy Brewing,

Hey All,
I forgot to include some items when I got rid of all the other
equipment. I have a hurricane burner [1], happily used up for $30, two
partially full propane tanks $15 each (cheaper than the deposit and
you get some gas!), a beer rack + scope for $5 and a 10 G s/s pot w/ a
basket and a lid for $50. The pot comes w/ a caveat: it's only been
used for frying turkeys. So either clean it out well or enjoy some
deep frying :-) I'll be better about the google doc and leave it up.
