To: Minnesota Home Brewer Association members (all 170 of you)
We are now on an annual system for memberships. All 2007 memberships are up at the end of this month. For those folks who didn't renew at the Xmas Party, send me your 2008 dues ($15, same as last year) and I will mail out your laminated card for 2008. For those who paid in advance for 2008, I will be sending out your card in the next couple weeks.
If you're not sure what year your membership lapses, just send me an e-mail.
To renew, send a $15 check made out to MHBA to:
Paul Dienhart
MHBA Treasurer
2344 Nottingham Crt.
Minnetonka, MN 55305
Last year, we had a deal where dues were $15 a year or $2 per month, whatever was cheapest. This year we will offer that only to new members, so there is no financial advantage to delaying your renewal. We will be asking the local homebrew shops to please check for 2008 cards before giving the 10 percent discount.
Thanks!
Paul Dienhart
MHBA secretary/treasurer
I've carried many bottles through successfully padded well in luggage,
but what about growlers?
Will growlers stay sealed (not leak) in luggage? A co-worker wants to
carry a few Surly growlers with him as he travels home.
Jonathan
Hi everyone, Just wanted to inform all you folks that there is a beer
tasting taking place on this Wednesday night at Picosa (65 SE Main street
Minneapolis.) It is sponsored by "The Onion" I am unsure of which
breweries and how many will be there, But I have heard through the grape
vine that Bell's is going to have there beers there. This is a benefit to
raise money for the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation to aid in the
research for a cure and develop treatments to improve the quality of life
of the individuals affected with the disease. For more on the disease
itself go to www.umdf.org The event starts 8:00 pm and ends at 11:00.
Tickets are $15.00 each at the door. For more information please call The
Onion at 612 370-1372. This event has nothing to do with the home brew
judging that The Onion is also sponsoring. I hope to see all of you at the
2007 Brewing For A Cause. Thanks in advance
Jeff Luskey
