Hi all. I have a line on a bulk purchase of ball lock 5 gallon cornies, at
$15 each. In order for this to work, I'd need commitments for at least 144
kegs. This includes new o-rings on the dip tubes and posts, but not lid
o-rings, which McMaster-Carr currently sells for $1.25 each.
Let me know if you're interested, if the plan works, and I get enough
commitments in the next week, I could have them by the weekend of the 28th
of May...
please reply to dan-pam(a)comcast.net instead of the whole group.
thanks, Dan
Saturday is almost here and you know what that means; especially if you
are named "PAUL DOUGLAS - RIGHT???
If some of you have tried to send me messages at my home address and
received courteous but totally unfashionable automatic responses, don't
despair. I sent myself a test message from work and have no idea what
to do or how to unlock the "de-spamer" device. At least I finally
understand why the messages have stopped. I get notice they are
stopped. No idea how to unstop or read them.
See some of you Saturday especially at the high noon toast.
Cheers
Rick
BlankNeed kegs?

If you have the weekend open and wonder what they do for homebrew up north,
why not head to the little town of Effie, MN.
Each year the Boreal Brewers of Bemidji conduct a beer tasting in Effie, MN
as part of a weekend club campout.
They refer to this as great pleasures from small measures, where they share
homebrew with the local community.
Everyone gets an opportunity to introduce/describe their homebrew before
they share it and the locals pick their favorites.
Usually a pretty good size crowd and the bar owner helps to provide some
live music.
This year will be the 10th annual Summer Beer tasting - a tasting of home
fermented beer, wines and meads
Saturday June 18th - it typically has started at 5PM at the Neighborhood Bar
in beautiful downtown Effie, MN
I had a great time last year, carrying my beer up on a Harley. The Boreal
Brewers are a great group and the tasting is a good time.
Subject: Effie Tasting
Mark your calendars, the official date has been set. The Effie tasting is
June 18. As per usual, those intrepid souls who wish to make a weekend out
of it will camp at either the Bass or Larson lake campgrounds. See you
there! Our sympathies for those who can't attend.
Louie
Probably too late - but if you happen to be in Fargo this evening....

Mike Valentiner, Minneapolis, MN
Greetings!
To get us through the long dry stretch between the May 7th Big Brew (9:00--gates open) at Rick Oftel's and the June 26th pool party (2:00 gathering, 4:00 meeting) at Eric and Kim Olson's, the Minnesota Homebrewers Association will be tailgating before the Tuesday, May 24th Saints game versus the Calgary Vipers!
We will have a large tailgating area reserved for grills and chairs and for, of course, HOMEBREW! The game begins (for those who can't miss a pitch) at 7:05, and we'll begin to gather around 4:30. We are going to order a few tickets ($7) in the next day or so, so please e-mail me ASAP with the number of tickets that you would like! We will order a few extra after the final tally is made, and interested parties who can't commit today are encouraged to get their own tickets even if our supply runs out. As most know, you just kinda' sit wherever at the Saints, so you will most likely be able to sit with the homebrewers even if you aren't in on the ticket buy.
So, please let me know how many tickets you would like, and we'll see you at the Saints game on Tuesday, May 24th!
Thanks,
John
Yep, That's right folks but the 9:00 start is a little early. Show up
when you desire.
The location is 6400 Mildred
952 941-9378.
Got to get to a meeting. See you all on Saturday.
Rick
