January Meeting info: New member, Eric will spend the evening sharing his knowledge about cask conditioning ales. Cask conditioning is much like bottling, but with a few key differences. The serving mechanism is what gives cask conditioned ales their frothy texture and allows you to taste each ingredient…something you can’t do with bottles or kegs. We’ll cover a little history, some homebrew techniques and of course, tasting. This month, he’ll have a holiday mint chocolate stout to try. We are cancelling the scheduled Prohibition field trip on Jan 4 (though you can still go on your own if you want!) I ended up on call that day with my new year's schedule and we haven't had a huge interest. I will work on rescheduling it for Jan sometime.
