No, not really a pro, I know enough to be dangerous.
Something else just crossed my mind. The cover handle may just be
spot-welded. If that's the case, a good autobody shop may be able to weld
it back on.
My brother recently retired as as senior food engineer from Kellogg's, he
worked in their pilot plant bringing new food processes into production.
We've spent a little time talking about how to build equipment with
sanitation in mind. One of these days, I'll get around to start welding
up the 60' of 2"x2" stainless tubing I have in the garage into an
all-stainless brew sculpture (no paint required. Ever.)

need the right rod or filler, maybe the right gas if you're using a MIG or
TIG process. The big thing is to make sure that you don't have any
inclusions (aka pockets) where unfriendlies can take up residence. I've
got most of the stuff at home to weld stainless, but not at kettle gauge.
Welding stainless requires a special, food-grade
process, not cheap.
Regular welds can hold bacteria.
If it's an exterior handle, no problem, get it on however you can...if
it
isn't, it's pre boil.

I have no idea how to do this. While we were moving last week with

to our new townhome in maple grove. Someone must of hit my mash tun
megapot, but the cover handle came off. I have no clue how to weld
stainless steel to get it back on. Any know how to do it or someone can

this small job.
