On behalf of the Lincoln Lagers Homebrew Club, we would be honored to have you and your taste buds at the first annual Sowers Cup to be held in Lincoln, Nebraska on September 12th and 13th. The BJCP registered competition will be the newest addition to the The High Plains Brewer circuit.
Entries are being accepted in all 28 BJCP beer, mead and cider categories, as well as our special “Anything Red” category, starting Monday, July 21, through August 29. The competition will held be at the beautiful new
Ploughshare Brewing Company located in downtown Lincoln.
Judge registration is open at the link below.
Volunteers will be provided with free meals Friday evening, Saturday morning, and Saturday afternoon before our guest speakers presentation. We will also be holding an awards ceremony with a special beer and food paired dinner hosted by Ploughshare Brewing Company's founder Matt Stinchfield. The dinner and awards ceremony will be a separate ticked event, and we will inform you all once the details have been finalized.
In addition to the competition, the dates fall right in the middle of Lincoln Beer Week. There will be lots of events happening within walking distance of Ploughshare, including a street party with live music and craft beer vendors on Saturday night.
