Subject: [mnbrewers] Saints game--a few tix remain
Hello, all--
I have ten tickets left out of our usual order of fifty, so rather than have
me turn them back to the Saints (and force us into record-low club
attendance), somebody just buy them! If you've claimed tickets, then please
pay for them. Payment information is below.
Back by popular demand, the 2013 version of Sinning With the Saints!
Monday, June 10th, the MN Homebrewers Association will once again stake a
claim to tailgating spot #5 in Midway Stadium's parking lot for grilling,
chilling, and swilling from 4:00 until 11:00. At 7:00, some attendees might
even take their tickets and enter the stadium to harass the players from
Fargo-Moorhead, harass the mascot, and harass each other. At least twice in
years past we've had club members on the field for between-inning
nonsense--some as cross-dressers, some with root beer as shampoo!
There will be tables and chairs provided by the club. I'll need two
volunteers (or just Bob Norman, with his TEXAS-SIZED CONTRAPTION!) to bring
grills. You'll bring meat and some food to share (and homebrew, of course).
The club will provide napkins, plasticware, and condiments.
Tickets are $12 each, and children aged three and over should have one. The
first order of business is to e-mail me to let me know that you're claiming
a certain number of tickets. Then please send a check, PAYABLE to MHBA, to
John Longballa
1015 Parker Ave
Roseville 55113
Attendees NEED NOT be members. There are usually many spouses, kids, and
extended friends/families in attendance.
Please let me know that you're attending SOOOOONER, rather than after I've
had to once again panic that we have four times the tickets we need, then
send in your checks, then plan a dish to share, then brew some beer to bring
. . .
Thanks,
John
p.s. Brewers with good memories will recognize this as last year's message
with the date changed. :)

Hey all,
Forgot to mention that I'll have a 6 foot giant sub (half turkey half spicy Italian) for the meeting on Friday so you don't need to eat before coming over. I won this at a silent auction for one of my neighbors and wanted to share it with you guys!
--Eric
Hey folks,
The upcoming meeting is this Friday at my house (1966 Fountain Lane, Waconia) starting around the usual time of 6:30 and going until we are done! This month is our big Belgian Brew-Off so bring your Belgian beers! We will have some prizes for the top positions in the race for the coveted Mash Paddle as well (only for Belgians though...) If you don't have a Belgian ready for this meeting, I suggest bringing a commercial example so we can compare to our homebrewed recipes. Be prepared, Belgian beers are mostly stronger ales, so drink lightly!
Congrats to JAB members Tim Roets, Gera LaTour, Brett Glenna and me for getting beers into second round of NHC!
Shirts are here, but we are waiting for embroidery so I don't think they will be ready this month...we are getting close!
We canceled on our Excelsior Big Brew due to crappy weather and lack of much interest. I did hear that 2 of our guys showed up looking for us, and am very sorry about that! Make sure you are reading these e-mails and join the JAB facebook group (not the regular page...) and we have up to date details of things on there. I'm hoping we can reschedule something later...
See you all here on Friday.
Eric
It's really a great evening!

Don't look outside . . . imagine green grass, warm breezes, the boys of
summer, and a cold beer at the ballpark. It WILL happen, but maybe not
until Monday, June 10th, when the MN Homebrewers Association visits Midway
Park for a Saints game.
I'm running low on time to turn back our unpurchased tickets, so please
speak up if you're planning on attending. Please read the original message
below for details. If you purchased tickets, please send me your check, as
we won't have a Paypal option on the site after all.
Thanks!

Hey folks, due to weather I think we are going to call off our Big Brew. I'm hoping we can reschedule for a better day!

--Eric

Sent from Yahoo! Mail for iPhone
Here’s the beer list and lunch/dinner menu for the new place on Hwy 5 and Eden Prairie Rd. It replaced Prairie Ale House, which replace Timber Lodge.
I’ve had a few dishes so far, all good. Happy Hour is 3-6 every day that I recall…..may be other hours as well. I’m trying to get them to put more info on the web site.
They also do breakfast 7 days a week.

The printed shirts have finally arrived and will be getting embroidered
soon.
We do have 2 shirts available. Both are blended short-sleeve. We have a
large and an extra-large. $25 each.
If you let me know ASAP, we'll get them embroidered with one-line of text.
Cheers!

This is a great deal that Ive done for the past few years. 166 restaurants
offer buy one get one at a discount .many cover the cost of the second
entrée.
Its $22 in SLP, a bit more by mail. Good from May 1 this year to May 31
next year. You get a set of cards that each restaurant punches when you use
it. Good only once a month.
Some local favorites of mine are Rey Azteca and Great Mandarin. Great
Mandarin gives you $10 off if you buy 2 entrees, pays for the cards very
quickly
